Processing the data

In this paragraph we will describe all the steps needed to reduce the datacubes of the WENSS mosaics. This is a summary of the WENSS processing manual which is part of the NEWSTAR Cookbook (written by Yuan Tang).

• Obtain processing information
• Quality inspection of the data
• Transferring data from optical disk to tape
• Transferring data from tape to disk
• Determine telescope offsets
• Stability check of the gain and phase
• Start of the reduction batch
